Feast of Love - (yep, another movie)

Rebecca Lincoln, long time family friend and quintessential massage therapist, came over tonight. It was cold and rainy and I just wanted to stay in and see a movie. Lily and I cooked up a great meal, and the three of sat around for a while to talk and connect.

Rebecca and I watched "Feast of Love" and we both agreed it was one of the best movies we've seen in a while about love and life.  Highly recommended. Full of insights.

What Does "Dating" Mean in 2008?

OK, readers, this one is for you. There are literally hundreds of you around the world still reading this blog. I know some of you visit once every week or two.

I have a question for you: What is dating? Or what does going out on a date mean and how is that compared to getting to know someone?  Are they the same or different? Is going out the same thing as dating?

I'm asking this question because twice in the last few weeks I've had different persons laugh at my use of the word 'dating.' They didn't offer an explanation other than it sounded funny, so I assume they are implying my idea of dating is, well, out-dated.

So be it. Both events were revealing lifeshocks, worthy of some reflection. So I thought I'd tap the wisdom of the crowd. That means you :) please.

Tell me your thoughts - regardless of your age. In fact I'd like a range of thoughts, male and female, younger and older. You'll help me fill in the gaps and hopefully be less embarrassed in my use of the 'word.'

All You Need Is Love - I Still Believe

Watching "Across the Universe" tonight in Blu-Ray. Beautifully done. The Beatles are the Beethoven of our time.

An American girl (Evan Rachel Wood) and a British lad (Jim Sturgess) fall in love amid the upheaval of the 1960s in this musical featuring classic Beatles songs and a mix of live action and innovative animation. On an excursion to America, Liverpool dock worker Jude (Sturgess) falls for Lucy (Wood). When Lucy's brother (Joe Anderson) is drafted, Jude and Lucy take a stand as anti-war activists. Dana Fuchs, Bono and Eddie Izzard co-star.

I hope to post something tonight later. Just thought I drop a note to let you know all is well. I have some great things to post from Justin and Lily.

For me, well, I've been hanging with Lily, working and working out until I get tired to go home and sleep, watching movies and having conversations with Tinkerbell. Not exactly real exciting ...

But hey, it's Super Tuesday, so let's see how this all shakes out.

I am amazed at the number of people whom I haven't spoken to in weeks or months (or years) suddenly sending sending me urgent requests to vote for Barack Obama.  I haven't decided yet ...
