What a wonderful day!!
Lily just left for the orthodontist's. In about 6 hours she'll be home with no braces. It's been nearly three years and she's SO ready for this to happen.
I'll have the classic before and after pics for you soon.

PS - The last few days I've received some unexpected emails from friends and relatives who found pictures of Sharon (and family). So I'll get them up too by this weekend. Thanks for keeping us in your hearts. Walter Stewart - you're the best!
Robbie - thank you for such sweet and loving comments. I remember what a joy it was to finally meet you last year and talk and hang out. I remember Sharon refering to you so often over the years. It was daily and weekly during the heat of enrollment times or major MTL event preperation times. She relied on your wisdom and friendship and drive to get things done (she liked that get-things-done part a lot). She seemed to resonate with you in ways I don't think I ever really understood but I know she did because she was so close to you.

Dear Tom:
I've spent the last two weeks reading messages that Sharon and I sent to each other over the years, and writing in the journal that she gave me the last time we were together. It is so Sharon! Every so often she would write something like "write lifeshocks here" or "did you get all the mindtalk out?" I laugh whenever I pick it up.
Your words today, as always, have been such a wonderful touchstone for me. I don't read the blog every day as I use to; however, whenever I do read it, I am instantly connected to you, Sharon and, in many ways, myself.
Sharon had a great capacity to connect with others, and now I see that you do as well. I'm so grateful to your openness and vunerability. I really believe that you have created a instrument of change through the sharing of Sharon's life and death. All of us can and have learned from you, Justin, Lily, and the entire Parish/Tischler family.
Although I will miss the Sharon part of this blog, she will live on in my heart and thoughts. I look forward to seeing and hearing about you more and what you are up to.
With much love and gratitude to you.

Congratulations, Lily! We can't wait to see you without the braces! I remember when Jane got hers off - and the smoooooth feeling she appreciated about her teeth again. Enjoy!
